Hello out there!

Once again I hid away for awhile. So, some quick updates:

I did complete the Tour de Fleece, even with pain and illness and whatever else happened during it. It was a big challenge and I’m not sure if I’ll do it next year or not. I’d like to, but clearly my physical needs and the rigors of a daily spinning routine are not always in synch.

That said, I had tons of fun doing it and learned some stuff while I was at it, so it’s all good.

I can’t believe it’s already mid-autumn! My boyfriend recently celebrated a birthday, and mine is coming up soon. We’re actually exactly 1 month apart in age, almost to the minute.

We took a trip to CT that was very nice. Fred got to meet my extended family, and we wished my cousin Jack a fond farewell as he was off to join the army. Well now Jack has just graduated basic, and will be coming home on leave for a couple of weeks before going off somewhere. We’re all very proud of him.

We brought home my grammie’s dining room furniture. I LOVE IT. I cannot say enough how much I love it, love having it, how close I feel to her, and how grateful I am to my boyfriend, my dad, and my aunt and uncle for helping me acquire it. 🙂

We had a great Halloween Open House at our place, and now we’re getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas and all that jazz. I’ve learned how to crochet, and will post some pics of my projects in that arena soon.

Hope everyone who reads is having a lovely, warm and happy fall. Enjoy the leaves and the apple cider and the football and all those autumn-y things. Until next update! 🙂

I reside in North Carolina with my husband Fred and am acclimating to a new area after 13 years in Pittsburgh. In the past few years I have completely changed my life (and I couldn't do it without support from family and friends). I now work as a writer and editor, and my favorite topics to write about are how to live a more positive life, book reviews, and sharing my crafts. Welcome!
