And they’re off!

Happy Fourth of July!

Today starts Le Tour de Fleece!

I have made good strides. First, I grabbed some yarn I had recycled from an old sweater:

and inserted some more twist into it:

(because recycled yarn sometimes loses some of its twist.) So far I have done about 170 yards of it.  I have a lot more to go before I wash it and then skein it.

I also did a few hanks of Mauch Chunky on one of my spindles.  Not much, as spindling seems to hurt my shoulders, but enough to get started.

Finally, I grabbed some UK Wensleydale from Flying Fibers and started spinning it on my wheel. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

It’s not much, but as my goal is to just do some spinning every day, I’m off to a good start!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July!
