First try at cables

first try at cables

This is actually a very poor lighting situation. The cotton yarn is actually more of a true cream color.

This was my first time doing cables, and I have to say, while I’m proud I made them happen, I was intensely frustrated throughout the process because I hated the cable needle.

I may try to learn the non-cable-needle way of doing this next time.

  1. You must learn cabling without a needle, the knitting goes so much faster that way! The only time I use a cable needle these days is when the cable is very complicated or when I need to use 2 cable needles.

You can do a Google search for cabling without a needle. I also have 2 links in the sidebar of my blog under the knitting resources section.
