Long time, no post. Some updates.
April 6, 2008
I’m sorry I haven’t posted in quite a long time. March really did me in. I got pregnant (planned), my cousin died suddenly at the age of 38, I miscarried, and then my boyfriend lost his job. We’re facing a move to a new (to me) city, and it’s tax time, and frankly, I’ve been a bit overwhelmed. I haven’t been knitting as much as I normally would, because I just haven’t had a lot of energy.
That said, now it’s April, it’s grey and rainy and dreary out, but that’s okay, because we have planted our seedlings (varieties of tomatoes, peppers, squash, a cactus and a sunflower) and they are doing well, and I know “April showers bring May flowers” and all that jazz, so things are looking up. I’m starting to get excited at the prospect of moving to a new city (provided all goes as planned there), and to our planned vacation in May, and to trying to get pregnant again.
So, here are some of my recent projects:

This is what my latest dishcloth looked like while I was working on it. It was quite easy to do on the train, because it was a repetition of four rows that were quite easy to memorize. I did this for a friend of mine, at her request. The finished cloth:

I’m quite pleased wit how it turned out. I will post a pic of the next cloth I’ve started for her soon. She asked for 4 cloths in neutral colors, and I’m excited about the commission.
The other thing I did was a “Tribble” scrubbie:

This is a great way to use up remnants of dishcloth yarn, and it seems to wash my dishes REALLY well.
My only complaint about it is that it takes FOREVER for it to dry once you’ve used it, due to being so thick. Still, it was a quick-knit and I’m pleased with it.

Oh my, April was quite a whammo of a month. I sure do hope May was much better. And that your vacation was conducive to getting pregnant again.
As for moving, definitely do this before baby arrives!!! Much easier that way.
